Skin Needling provides results similar to Laser Resurfacing, Fraxel® and Chemical Peels but at a fraction of the cost and with minimal or zero downtime. The ‘Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller’ creates a multitude of tiny puncture wounds to the dermis which induces the release of growth factors that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. Creating dermal damage without removal of the healthy epidermis, as with other resurfacing techniques, means the healing time is rapid and does not cause any comparable pain. Results are quick and will last.

The Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller is a convenient multipurpose device used for the treatment of various skin conditions such as wrinkles, scars, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, cellulite and stretch marks.

It is a cylindrical barrel with precision engineered titanium microneedles which penetrate the top layers of skin without causing damage or bleeding. Application of Product

1. STERLISE: Sterilise the Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller with a sterilising solution and allow to
dry before every use.

2. CLEANSE: Cleanse face, neck and décolleté using a Medik8 oneCleanse or your preferred Medik8 foaming cleanser suitable for your skin type and pat skin dry.

3. ROLL: Visually divide the skin into sections (forehead, left cheek, right cheek, nose, chin,
left side of the neck etc.). Using a constant, gentle rolling motion roll 10 times back and forth
over each skin section.

4. PREVENT: Apply your preferred Medik8 Prevent and/or Correct product, following the product instructions. Use the roller in the evening, as many topical formulations require time to absorb fully.

6. HYDR8: Finish with Hydr8 Night.

7. FINISH: Ensure the roller is cleaned thoroughly after each use, run under hot water and disinfect before allowing it to dry and returning it to the case. Always allow the roller to cool before use.

8. Repeat several times per week, depending on skin tolerance. Ensure any irritation from prior treatments has fully subsided before the next use. Gradually increase frequency of use as your skin becomes adjusted to needling. Do not use more than once a day.

Really makes a difference

I've been using the entire Medik8 range for a couple of months and had noticed a significant improvement in some aspects of my skin, so I decided to try the dermaroller out to get the most out of the products. You only need to roll accross your face without applying any pressure, as the first time I used this, I pushed too hard and felt raw and hot for a few hours. Despite this, I did notice smoother skin and more even colour by the next morning. I used it again 4 nights later with the correct pressure, and still went quite red but without any soreness. I applied the C-Tetra, Red Alert Serum and Retinol 3TR after rolling and I keep seeing more improvement after each use. I'm doing this once every 3 days so far and am slowly building towards every second night. It is a bit time consuming having to sterilize the roller before and after use but the results are worth it. Just be careful not to push too hard and only use at night as you will be red all over for a while afterwards.
