Q&A: Sonia Kruger x Three Warriors

What initially drew you to partner with Three Warriors, and what about the brand genuinely resonated with you on a personal level?

My make-up artist was using the product on me for work and I loved that Three Warriors is certified organic without harmful chemicals and that it’s a fantastic natural colour. Three Warriors offered all the good things about a sun-kissed glow without having to worry about the harmful effects of the sun. I have also become good friends with the founder, Corbin Halliday, as we share similar views on beauty and using quality, natural ingredients. He also has a great, sometimes mischievous sense of humour, so we also have that in common!

Three Warriors is known for its natural, skin-first approach to tanning. How does that philosophy align with your own views on beauty and skin health?

I really think beauty comes first from within but close second is the skin. People with great skin always stand out to me as looking healthy and youthful. Three Warriors prioritises quality, all Australian ingredients like Tasmanian olive oil, avocado oil and Aloe Vera for maximum hydration. As someone who spends a lot of time on camera, what role does confidence play in your beauty routine, and how does a great tan contribute to that for you?

My uniform for work is often fun, colourful and sparkly numbers and I’ll be honest some of them are on the shorter side and sometimes showing quite a lot of skin! To be able to have that summer glow all year round gives me so much more confidence to have fun with fashion on the set of The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. What’s really important and sometimes undervalued is even skin tone. Three Warriors is a like body make up and gives you the good to glow all over.

What does a typical self-care or beauty ritual look like for you when life gets busy?

When life gets busy self-care comes down to some exercise and taking care of my skin. If I can’t squeeze in a workout a walk around the block with the dog is something I can manage. I force myself to always take my work make up off by cleansing and using a good moisturiser.

After working with many beauty brands over the years, what do you think sets Three Warriors apart in the crowded self-tan space?

I really think it comes down to great quality Australian ingredients and the beautiful, natural colour. I think there is a sense that self-tan looks great but isn’t great for the skin. Three Warriors changed this for me in that you can achieve that healthy all over glow while still taking care of your skin. There are a lot of tanning products on the market but this is the best colour I have found and it never comes off on the clothes or sheets which is amazing.
