- DO NOT use the Omnilux Clear if you are a child under 14 years of age. The safety of the device for children younger than 14 years of age has NOT been tested and the risk is unknown.
- DO NOT use the Omnilux Clear to treat any other conditions apart from those listed in the indications.
- DO NOT use if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding.
- The Clear device is indicated to treat mild to moderate acne vulgaris. Acne vulgaris is characterised by greasy skin, red pimples or spots, yellow pus-filled spots and scars.
- Please note that the blue and red lights work simultaneously with this device i.e there is not an option to run each light separately. When red and blue light are combined and illuminated together, the eye may perceive the output colour as purple.
- It is common to have mild redness and skin warming after using Omnilux devices. This is normal as LED stimulates blood flow and this will resolve on its own within 2 hours of use.
- Pigmentation has been experienced by some users, and with discontinued use of the device the pigmentation will go away.
- Fitzpatrick skin types IV,V, & VI, skin that is more prone to pigmentation, may experience pigmentation caused by the blue light, again with discontinued use of the device, the pigmentation will go away.
- We do not recommend combining retinol with any form of light therapy, as there is always a risk of reaction. If you do choose to use retinol or other intense skincare products such as AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants etc, it is recommended that you do not use the device within 48 hours of using these products.
