Omnilux Guide

Omnilux is an advanced LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy system designed to improve the overall health and appearance of your skin. It utilises different wavelengths of light to target specific skin concerns, from acne to wrinkles, in a non-invasive and painless manner.

Here's what you need to know...

Benefits of Omnilux At-Home Devices:

  • Effective Anti-Aging: Omnilux stimulates collagen production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Acne Management: It can kill acne-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation.
  • Skin Rejuvenation: Promotes healthier, radiant skin.
  • Painless and Safe: Non invasive procedures or downtime.
  • Convenient: You can use it in the comfort of your home.

Common Temporary Side Effects:

While Omnilux is generally safe, some users may experience temporary side effects, including:

  • Redness: Mild redness immediately after treatment, which usually fades within hours. Some redness may be evident up to 24 hours later.
  • Dryness: Some users may notice dryness in the treated area which will subside.
  • Sensitivity: Skin may become more sensitive temporarily, so be cautious with using active skincare products in the days afterwards such as Retinols, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants, serums etc.
  • Peeling: Rarely, mild peeling or flaking can occur.
  • Some users experience eye sensitivity to the light which can result in temporary distortion as the eye adjusts to and from the bright lights. The devices have been thoroughly tested and deemed safe according to current eye safety standards of the US, and cleared by the US FDA. Such users may opt to use small goggles to limit these effects.

When Not to Use Omnilux Devices:

  • Sun Exposure: Please do not use it directly after prolonged sun exposure. Wait until any sunburn or colour has subsided.
  • Intense skincare products: Do not use within 48 hours of using Retinols, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants or any intense serums etc.
  • Pregnancy: If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding. While red light therapy is very safe, our LED devices have not been specifically studied with pregnant or breastfeeding women. For this reason, we do not recommend the use of LED unless approved by your doctor.
  • Epilepsy: LED therapy can trigger seizures in some individuals with photosensitive epilepsy.
  • Severe Inflamed Acne: We do not recommend using the Clear Device when your skin is in this condition.
  • Photosensitivity: If you are taking medications or using skincare products that make your skin sensitive to light, avoid using Omnilux. If you suffer from any photosensitivity disorders also please do not use.
  • Eye Conditions: If you suffer from any eye sensitivities or disorders please consult a doctor before use.
  • Open Wounds or Infections: Do not use Omnilux over open wounds or areas with active infections.

PICKING THE RIGHT DEVICE FOR YOUR FACE

Based on the world’s leading Omnilux Medical light therapy technology, each Omnilux LED device uses optimized energy output and clinically proven wavelengths of light to work on a cellular level to combate your skin concerns.

The Omnilux Contour devices emit wavelengths of light that have been proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Red light (633 nm) targets inflammation, pigmentation, redness and helps prompt cellular repair and circulation for a more vibrant complexion.
  • Near-infrared light (830 nm) targets deeper fibroblast cells, stimulating new collagen and elastin production, resulting in plumper, firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

The Omnilux Clear device emits wavelengths of light that have been proven to reduce acne.

  • Blue light (415 nm) works on a cellular level to neutralize and kill acne-forming bacteria in the sebaceous glands which cause acne.
  • Red light (633 nm) reduces inflammation, boosts blood oxygen levels in the skin, and reduces sebum (oil) production by targeting the sebaceous glands.
