A major part of ensuring good skin health is ensuring the all-important skin barrier is nourished and water loss is minimised through the use of occlusive ingredients like oils. The right oil can mimic naturally occurring skin lipids and nourish with essential fatty acids whilst protecting the skin’s natural barrier function. When the barrier functions properly, the skin resists dehydration and inflammation and protects against free-radical damage all of which contribute to premature aging – suffice to say, it’s important.

Enter Golden Haze Face Oil: Alpha-H’s newest product in our Advocate range. The formula contains two of the best occlusive plant oils available, Jojoba and Argan - clinically proven to provide a barrier to both water loss and bacteria. And if you’re still wondering how a face oil could find space in your existing routine, here are a few suggestions:

A stand-alone hero

Apply 2-3 drops of Golden Haze Face Oil morning or evening as the last step in your regime to lock in hydration and prevent trans-epidermal water loss. It can be layered over serums, hydrators and/or moisturisers. Be sure to follow with an SPF if applying in the AM.

Facial massage

For a luxurious spa moment, add 3-4 drops of Golden Haze Face Oil directly to the skin to create slip, then spend a little extra time performing a light facial massage using upwards, circular and sweeping movements, spreading the oil evenly over the face, neck and decolletage. For an extra special touch, incorporate your favourite facial massage tool like a jade roller or gua sha.

Smooth dermaplaning

Use Golden Haze Face Oil to prep skin, create glide and reduce irritation whilst dermaplaning by applying a generous amount to the skin before beginning the treatment.

Restore dry cuticles

Add a drop to each cuticle and massage in well. Spread any remaining oil over the backs of the hands, performing a light massage. Apply of an evening and leave overnight to nourish dry areas, leaving them silky soft.

Create a dewy daytime glow

Add 1-2 drops of Golden Haze Face Oil either before applying or mixed into your foundation (it must be oil-based foundation) or pat onto the high points of your face like a highlighter (top of cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of the nose) after moisturiser, sunscreen, or makeup.

What about the rest of my body?

Golden Haze Face Oil may also be applied to the body, helping to eliminate dry flaky patches on legs, arms, heels and those dry winter shins. It also works wonders as a hair oil and is best applied sparingly to mid lengths and ends of hair, a few drops can help to eliminate fly aways and dull looking tresses.
