A New Year Means A Whole Lot Of New Beauty Trends!

Are you ready to discover the trends that we think are here for the long run?

We've put together a few of our favourites, along with the essential products you need to slay your way through 2023.

Love them or hate them…they’re here for the year!

Move over Makeup…Skincare is here

2023 is going to be the year that skincare becomes the new makeup. It’s all about glowing, and healthy skin, meaning we don’t want that heavy makeup to block our precious pores…do we?

Natural and minimal makeup looks have been a big trend throughout 2022 and now we are seeing this develop even further into a skincare only trend.

So this means our skincare routines need a refill and you’ve come to the right place for that!

Naked skin has been all over the runways, from Fendi to Altuzarra, we saw dewy skin and natural complexions.

Short & Natural Nails

Say farewell to the busy art-filled nails that we were all so obsessed with and get ready for short and neutral coloured nails. *sigh of relief* No more impractical long and fragile acrylics!

It’s all about strong nails, healthy cuticles and a neutral and sophisticated polish. We’re loving the Dr Hauschka Neem Nail & Cuticle Pen, paired with an OPI lacquer like the Machu Peach-u or the Tickle my France-y.

Y2K Hair Styles

Don’t go anywhere, the Y2K and 90s hairstyles are here to stay, whether you like it or not!

You’re going to need a new hair gel for 2023 because the sleek back, spiky bun is a trend that’s not going anywhere. I’m a sucker for a sleek back hair-do, for those early mornings before work when you’re not in the mood to do a full salon-worthy blow out!

I’ve put together my sleek-back hair styling essential for you:

Ghd Glide Smoothing Hot Brush

This is perfect to smoothen down the hair, remove any frizz and get that perfect silkiness, which is going to make the rest of the work much easier.

Paul Mitchell Matte Shaper

Once your hair is up, I usually smooth some of this product over my hair to keep it looking smooth. It also gives my hair a firm hold, so you won’t see any unwanted flyaways popping out.

Denman D81M Natural Bristle Nylon Quill Medium Black Brush

Now that you’ve got your hair up and in the right position on your head, it’s time to smooth out those unwanted bumps and frizz.

Pureology Style + Protect Lock It Down Hairspray 312g

Once the bun is in place and you’ve adjusted the ‘spikes’ coming out at the top of the bun, I go in with the Pureology Hairspray to keep everything in place and it holds the spikes upright!
