TikTok's Latest Beauty Trend: Skin Flooding
You may be thinking “Not another TikTok Beauty Trend” but have no fear…this one ACTUALLY works and skin therapists are loving it.
So let’s get into it…what is it, what products do I need and most importantly what are the benefits!?
What Is Skin Flooding?
Skin Flooding is the latest trend, designed to target dry skin without clogging your pores, and the end results…glowy, dewy and hydrated skin.
Despite the trend originating from TikTok, it is a process skin therapists and dermatologists have been using for a while, as overall it’s just a deep hydration treatment.
How Do I Do It?
It’s not as complicated as you might think, it’s just a simple routine however the application and order is slightly different.
Step 1: Cleanse - this is a typical stage one of any skincare regime. It’s always key to start with a clean face.
Step 2: Apply a Hyaluronic Acid and/or a Niacinamide based serum on to damp skin.
Step 3: Now it’s time for a hydrating toner or face mist, such as the Skinstitut Multi-Active Mist
Step 4: Get that moisturiser on and watch your skin become plump and hydrated.
Step 5: Okay, almost there now… just finish off with another spritz of your chosen mist or toner before applying the key ingredient (SPF of course!)
